Singapore’s darling Jeanette Aw is not one to pile on the makeup, as you can see from her Instagram feed. Her skin’s always naturally semi-matte, as she doesn’t go overboard with the dewy skin trend. Get a glow like hers here by brushing on a sheer highlighter on the highest point of your cheekbones. The rest of the glow at her forehead and nose are due to the lighting and well-moisturised skin.
Try a highlighter like the Shiseido Aura Dew in #02 Solar ($38). The superfine pigments give a very subtle and natural glow, which is great for those who are into the no-makeup makeup look.
Moisturise skin with the Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream ($99), which is packed with antioxidant-rich Japanese rice to stave off signs of premature ageing like dull skin. A blend of botanical extracts and superfoods such as green tea and algae also help nourish and hydrate skin.

The star of K-dramas What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? and Her Private Life, sets a good example for Singaporeans who want dewy, not oily-looking skin. Her glow-from-within complexion is, of course, attributed to great skincare habits. Use a hydrating essence and sweep a subtle highlighter all over skin to replicate her glow.
Try The History of Whoo Bichup Self-Generating Anti-Aging Essence ($211), one of the brand’s iconic products, which helps improve skin cell regeneration, firm up skin, diminish the appearance of fine lines and stimulate elastin and collagen production while moisturising skin.
Mix the Nars Orgasm Liquid Highlighter ($52) into your foundation (or moisturiser, if you’re going bare-skinned) to get radiant skin in a second. The lightweight highlighter also has pomegranate extract to moisturise and hydrate skin.

Our beautiful brand muse, Song Hye Kyo, arrived at the Sulwhasoo Universe event in Thailand on 26 April 2019. She revealed that the secret to her youthful glow was none other than the First Care Activating Serum EX. #Sulwhasoo #SulwhasooSG #ResetYourYouth #KoreanBeauty #KoreanSkincare

K-drama star Song Hye Kyo’s most recent outing as Korean luxury skincare brand Sulwhasoo’s ambassador is another lesson on how to get dewy skin right. The 37-year-old actress credits her healthy glow to the brand’s First Care Activating Serum EX, but we say there’s life hack you can use: Spritz on a skincare mist right before a big event, and use base makeup that’s made to even out and brighten skin tone.
Try Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum Mist (from $52), an oil-water serum mist that helps rebalance dehydrated skin. It has the brand’s proprietary Jaum Balancing Complex to help improve skin clarity and turnover, while delivering nourishment and moisture to skin.
Hera UV Mist Cushion ($68) offers full coverage to even out skin tone. It also utilises a technology called Secret Color Powder, which is said to mimic the look of bright, healthy skin for a luminous and dewy-looking complexion.

With a fashion label under French conglomerate LVMH in the works, there is no doubt that multi-hyphenate Robyn Rihanna Fenty (that’s her full name, in case you didn’t know) is a cultural phenomenon. But while we eagerly await her debut fashion collection, let’s just focus on how she proves that dewy skin is not only for those with fairer skin tones. Try replicating her look by sweeping a bronzer with a little shimmer all over your skin, and adding a touch more to the high points of your face – cheekbones, brow bone and nose. Or set your makeup with a loose powder that blurs out imperfections for a photo-ready finish.
Becca Sunlit Bronzer ($58) has subtle shimmer pigments that blend into skin for natural, radiant-looking skin.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder ($44) comes in eight shades to suit different skin tones, and has mattifying powders that control shine so your skin doesn’t look greasy.

The supermodel didn’t make it to our list of the best beauty looks at the Met Gala 2019 because we didn’t think her look suited the theme (Camp) at all. But that isn’t to say that she didn’t nail the dewy skin look. Celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo swept a highlighter over the top of her cheekbones up to her temples, just under her brow arches and on her forehead to make her already-sharp features stand out even more.
Try dabbing the Kora Organics By Miranda Kerr Luminizer ($39) on the points mentioned above. The emollient balm also hydrates skin for added radiance.
And prep your skin with an intensive hydrating sheet mask like the Lancome Advanced Genifique Hydrogel Melting Mask ($125 for a box of 7 pcs) which has the same amount of probiotic extract as the Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Serum to soothe skin irritation, and hydrate skin so it looks more radiant and makeup goes on and stays on better.
