Get fit for a good cause? Sold! Run with your girlfriends or family and colleagues â anywhere and anytime in support for International Women’s Day. Spacebib will be donating $1 and $3 to Aware for everyone that finishes the ‘basic’ and ‘classic’ categories respectively. Simply register for your preferred 3.8km, 10km or 21.1km distances, track your run or walk with a GPS-enabled running app or sports device during the event period. Your finisher medal and other race entitlements will be delivered to you after results have been submitted and validated by the organisers.

Breast Cancer Foundation’s wellness programmes
Let’s be real: Women are superheroes who juggle way too many responsibilities and roles. That is why Breast Cancer Foundation is advocating bringing balance back to women’s lives by launching a series of wellness programmes across three days (from March 8 to 10). Get in the pink of health on March 8 in their fitness marathon, which comprises six back-to-back fitness classes such as Qigong, Zumba and Salsa dancing. On March 9, enjoy the mix of fitness classes, expert talks and musical performances. And on March 10, get a mammogram screening done on Mammobus for free, if you’re a Singaporean and screening for the first time ($10 if you’re a repeat screener).

Get your children involved early on the conversation about gender equality by bringing them to this event. Organised by Play Acting Drama Centre, it is a fascinating one which will feature a panel of inspiring strong women from the worlds of art, fashion, business and technology. Monologues by the centre’s students will kickstart the event, followed by two panel discussions, “Feminism – a Misunderstood Concept” and “Gender Stereotypes in Social Media”, that will surely make for good dinner time conversation with your family. Suitable for ages 13 and above.

This event will celebrate their craft and let you get an insight into their journeys through a panel discussion. Other fun activities include portrait drawings by Band of Doodlers, live illustrations by jhawnette, bouquet arrangements with Skinny Blooms and live digital painting session by Kristal Melson.
