Chanel S/S19 Terrycloth Backpack

Hands up if the ‘furry’ bags crossing the screen caught your eye in the ‘Double the Trouble’ #ChanelSpringSummer video that was unveiled a couple of weeks back on Instagram. The bag actually comes in a material known as terrycloth, a woven fabric with a soft and lush texture that was also used extensively in Pharrell’s capsule collection with Chanel, seen on bucket hats, robes and even the coveted embellished shopping bags which have since completely sold out.

All is not lost though. Besides the ‘furry’ Flap Bag, you can as you would still be able to get your hands on the Terrycloth Backpack (SGD4670), which are both part of Chanel’s current Spring-Summer 2019 lineup. Measuring 23 cm by 20 cm, the backpack is essentially the perfect piece to carry on days when you want to keep yourself hands-free while on the go, with a depth of 10 cm that’s roomy enough for all your daily essentials. There’s even an additional zip pocket tucked within as well as an exterior pocket.

The soft and furry texture also allows the bag to double up as a fluffy pillow when it’s completely filled, giving it top points in terms of function, which is one way of convincing yourself that you need it. Choose between a deep sea blue or a bright neon pink, where it is available in limited quantities in Chanel boutiques at Marina Bay Sands and Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
