Whisky Live Singapore is the leading premier whisky and spirits event in South-East Asia, and personally, one which I religiously attend.

If you enjoyed Whisky Live 2018’s setup, you’ll be pleased to know that Whisky Live 2019 is being held once again in Andaz hotel, in a similar weekend fashion from 9 – 10 November 2019.

Organized by Singapore spirits distributor La Maison du Whisky, this 10th edition of Whisky Live gathers over 900 spirit labels across 60 whisky and spirit brands for tasting. Look out for rising stars of the whisky industry as well as some of the world’s most famous distilleries.

Launching for the first time, two whiskies to look out for this year include The Balvenie The Week of Peat (14 Years) and the Glenfiddich Grand Cru (23 Years).

Aficionados and whisky amateurs are all welcome as there are exciting features such as tasting rooms, masterclasses and rare drams.

Whisky Live is split into different hall sections every year:

Tasting Hall & Spirits Room (Entry with all passes)

The most crowded areas would be the Tasting Hall and Spirits Room. Exhibitors include Kavalan Distillery, Nikka Whisky, Teeling, Blanton’s Bourbon along with a slew of other whisky brands. Other fine spirits like rum and gin are also available but on a smaller scale.

Collector’s Room (Entry with all passes)

Then there’s the Collector’s Room, featuring a collection of rare, sought-after bottles from La Maison du Whisky’s private collection accumulated over six decades, including untraceable bottles distilled in the ’60s and ’70s.

Tasting drams here are available with token purchase.

VIP Area (Entry with VIP pass only)

The exclusive VIP room is where the most ardent fans of exceptional whiskies gather to enjoy unlimited tastings of over 100 prestigious, new and limited releases. A major advantage for VIP pass holders this year is getting to enter the event one hour before any other ticket tier.

Led by industry experts, masterclasses will take place in the Masterclass Room and Cocktail Class Room. Guests can also participate in cocktails classes to learn about the history and techniques from drink makers.

Cocktail Terrace (Entry with all passes)

Is straight whisky getting a bit too heavy? Hop on down to the cocktail terrace to get a taste of drinks made by Singapore’s best bartenders and enjoy signature cocktails from their acclaimed bars. A total of four world-class bars will be showcased in rotational guest shifts of two bars every four hours.

La Boutique (Entry with all passes)

Once you’re done tasting all the spirits from the halls, you can purchase your favourites from the boutique store. There are over 900 bottles to choose from, including rare and limited expressions.
