With the launch of Qatar Airways‘ latest Quisine menu for its Economy Class passengers, your in-flight meals will no longer leave you feeling hungry or seeking out extra helpings from the galley.

Their new menu (outbound from Singapore) features local favourites, such as Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice, Briyani, and Roti Prata & Curry.

What sets Quisine apart from other airlines are their up-sized portions, all thanks to feedback from their passengers. Now, their appetisers are 20% larger, you’ll have 25% more for your main courses, and a whopping 50% increase in the serving of your dessert!

What more, in a bid towards increased sustainability, the materials used in their tray table items will have an increase of 80% in biodegradable and recyclable materials.

I had a sampling of the Chicken Rice, and although it wasn’t a mind-blowing version of this beloved Singapore heritage dish, it tasted pretty good if you’re really craving it when you’re about to fly off.

The rice had a potent garlicky aroma, which was very appealing, and the roast chicken proved to be exceptionally moist and tender. I especially loved the Barley & Pomegranate Salad, which provided a bright and uplifting note to the meal.

Kids aren’t left out either! The new lunchbox meals were in fact selected by 50 children from 15 nationalities in a study group with the catering team. Each kids’ meal includes a variety of snacks, fruits, and juices, along with a surprise toy—all to keep the young tykes happy.

The next time you’re looking to book a long haul flight out of Singapore, why not consider Qatar Airways to keep the whole family full and fulfilled?

Dates & Times: Quisine is available on the Singapore-Doha service of Qatar Airways
