If you’ve found the inappropriate and awkward jokes by Crayon Shin-chan amusing, you’re going to find the latest beauty collection that features this manga character very adorable.
Korean fashion and lifestyle brand SPAO has collaborated with this iconic manga character to launch a series of beauty products that beauty enthusiasts and Crayon Shin-chan fans won’t be able to resist.
The cutest of them all is probably the range of lip balms that feature a character figurine at the top of each cap. These are formulated with shea butter to nourish your lips, and there are two scents to choose from: strawberry and peach. Each of them retail at KRW6,900.
Shin-chan is also featured on a Vitamin Sleeping Mask, wearing his signature teal pyjamas – how apt! Fortified with vitamins, the sleeping mask helps retain moisture while you sleep so you’ll wake up to bouncier skin. This retails at KRW10,900.
Since SPAO is a Korean brand, it probably isn’t surprising that the Crayon Shin-chan beauty collection includes facial sheet masks too. There are five options to choose from, each with different skincare benefits and featuring a different character from Shin’s family. If you’re a collector, you’ll definitely want to get all five boxes. Each box contains five sheets and retails at KRW9,900.
If Shin-chan’s imitation of Action Mask amuses you, then you’re going to love this sunscreen stick that has Shin transformed into the superhero. This sunscreen stick is said to be refreshing and non-sticky, making it a great product to use in hot and humid climate – which sounds exactly like Singapore’s weather! This retails at KRW13,900.
The wide variety of products offered also include an exfoliator, blackhead patch, shower gel, and hand cream.
The SPAO x Crayon Shin-chan collection is only available in South Korea at this moment. If you can’t find a friend who’s travelling to Korea to bring it back for you, consider making a request on platforms like Airfrov, where you can pay a traveller to make a purchase for you. Note that SPAO has a few outlets in Malaysia, and the nearest to us is Paradigm Mall in Johor Bahru. However, the outlet hasn’t made any indication about bringing in the collection at the point of writing.
