Celine is set to launch its first-ever fragrance collection under the direction of creative director Hedi Slimane and here’s why it’s a big deal. The fashion house has not released a fragrance since Vent Fou in 1964 and while Interparfums held its fragrance license from 2000 to 2011, a scent has not been created since 2006.
The highly anticipated Celine Haute Parfumerie Collection draws on the designer’s androgynous perceptive and will offer a line-up of 11 unisex scents that are versatile for both day and night wear. The nostalgia-invoking juices, inspired by the emotion and memories of the couturier, are said to serve up the Parisian spirit of sophistication and will carry the designer’s powdery olfactory signature.

Scent aside, the sleek rectangular vessels designed by Slimane are cast in rich amber-gold glass inspired by late 17th-century classicism and topped with a varnish black cap that will look great on any top shelf.
Fragrance aficionados who are waiting with bated breath to catch a whiff of the new fragrance blends will be glad to know that the Celine Haute Parfumerie Collection will be launching in Singapore at the brand’s The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands boutique at the end of the year. Celine will be launching 9 scents first, namely Black Tie, Cologne Française, Dans Paris, Eau De Californie, La Peau Nue, Nightclubbing, Parade, Reptile and Saint-Germain-Des-Prés, with Bois Dormant and Rimbaud slated for a 2020 release. More updates to come.
