With the uptick in sustainable eating and the fight against animal cruelty, Impossible Foods has been getting a lot more coverage. Established in June 2019, The Goodburger is currently the first and only burger food truck to sell solely Impossible burgers.

This has made it stand out from its burger-selling competitors. It’s also quite a rarity to see food trucks around in Singapore, which make this a rather unique startup.

The Goodburger currently operates at The Promontory on Tuesdays to Fridays from 12pm to 3pm and at the Event Square @ Marina Bay from 5pm to 9pm.

The Good Burger 2

The Goodburger’s vision focuses on its love for meat but also animals. Seeing how Impossible meat is kinder and better for the world, they decided that this was the way to go.

The entire philosophy of the creation of Impossible Foods is based on this one question: “What makes meat taste like meat?” Impossible Foods basically took everything they knew and loved about meat, and made it with plants.

The Good Burger

Since they operate out of a food truck, it was only feasible to have a few items on the menu, but the ones they have on the menu are bursting with flavour. I was first introduced to an all-time favourite—The Classic (S$16).

This American classic cheeseburger is loved by many burger fanatics because of its simplicity, though it left me wanting more after each bite.

The Good Burger 5

The melted cheese with the tangy flavours of The Goodburger’s homemade pickles and sautéedonions packed a punch. To be frank, I’ve never been a fan of pickles but these house-made pickles were simply to die for!

To top all that goodness off, customers can request for as many patties as they please, at only S$6 per patty.

The Good Burger 3

The second burger I had was The Black Tie (S$18) which consisted of a juicy patty and crunchy rocket leaves. The Black Tie‘s star is the lovely truffle aioli sauce which wasn’t too overpowering against the other ingredients in the burger.

The Good Burger 4

I personally love the addition of vegetables in burgers because of how it brings crunch and freshness. The rocket leaves in this burger really did work its magic!

The Good Burger 6

Lastly, I sank my teeth into One Night in Bangkok (S$20). This burger had a burst of flavours reminding me of Thai spices like tom yum

The Good Burger 7

The sauce was creamy and smooth and paired very well with the Impossible patty. If you’re looking for a spicy kick to your burger, this is what I’d definitely recommend!

The Goodburger not only serves up good burgers but also serves as a platform to plant the seeds for a more conscious and kinder world, with each burger that they sell. Head down to The Promontory or Event Square @ Marina Bay to try out their fascinating creations!
